The Silky Pair are collectively Kathryn Bond and Lorna Shaw and together they deliver an hours worth of sketch comedy and music with a added extra of balloon modelling in an acting space about the size of a postage stamp.
The ladies, clad in silky underwear throughout, with a selection of jackets mainly as character references, perform a whole host of sketches at a pace that never falters and their comedic acting ability is evident throughout and their characterisation doesn’t slip.
Okay, some of the material could have been stronger, but it was more than acceptable and they gained a number of major laughs during their hour.
I really think this duo has real potential and given the luxury of some space to actually move could be even better, but they are certainly well worth seeing now.
As part of the Laughing Horse Free Festival entry is free, but they have to eat so a voluntary collection is taken at the end of each show.
